Maintenance Work in The Pulse

The Pulse isn't a single type of community. It's a mix — apartment blocks like The Pulse Boulevard and The Pulse Residences, townhouse clusters with private gardens, and the newer Pulse Villas and Beachfront phases with their own layouts. That variety means our technicians need to carry different parts and tools depending on which part of Dubai South they're heading to.

In the apartment buildings, we see a lot of the usual high-rise issues: blocked kitchen sinks, AC units that need regassing after running flat out through summer, electrical DBs that trip when everyone's loading the grid at once, and balcony doors that swell in the humidity. The townhouse clusters throw up garden plumbing problems, garage door issues and outdoor light fittings that take a beating from the dust. Over in The Pulse Villas and the Beachfront phase, we're dealing with larger split systems, private garden irrigation and the occasional lagoon pump query.

There's still construction happening in pockets around Dubai South, which means dust gets into AC filters and outdoor units faster than in older, built-up parts of Dubai. We've also found that some of the earlier apartment handovers — particularly in the Boulevard and Residences blocks — left a few snagging jobs behind: loose cabinet fittings, sealant gaps around windows and bathroom extractor fans that were never wired properly. Our job is to fix those properly, not just cover them up.
